F3-M2 Link Proposal

The Federal Government  announced the commencement of a feasibility study into a link between the F3 and the M2 in March 2002. The study was conducted by consultants Sinclair Knight Merz.

On 25 July 2003 it was announced that four options had been identified, all of which will mostly be in tunnel. The closing date for public comment was Friday 3 October 2003.

The proposed link has a long history, particularly in the past few decades when it has been an 'on-again off-again' issue at state level. State and Federal politicians have made commitments that the surface road through South Turramurra is no longer under consideration.
